I’m Sallie. I’m a wife, mom, and writer. I’m thankful to be married to my best friend, David. We met online via AOL a long time ago (1996) and married nine months later. I’m the home educating mom of Caroline, a bright, inquisitive and spirited
six seven eight nine ten and a half year old. And as a major introvert, I love working from home as a writer and editor. My husband and I own Arts & Letters, Inc. I develop educational materials and write about parenting, learning, and home education topics at Sallie Borrink. I also blog at A Quiet Simple Life.
I hold a B.A. in Elementary Education from the Honors College of Michigan State University and completed part of my M.A. in Education before deciding to leave the teaching profession. I have also served as a campus staff member for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, pioneering outreach to sororities.
I am a professing protestant Christian, saved by Jesus, believe in the authority of the Scriptures, and am in agreement with the Nicene Creed. You can read more about my doctrinal beliefs and journey here.
